Sheenam Eliza Kujur is an emerging poet and was featured in A Poet’s Toolbox. We had the opportunity to interview her and are delighted to share her insights.
How do you incorporate technology into your work as a poet?
As technology evolved, it has made artists like us to get closer to our audiences in a creative manner. For the apps that i use, it has been quite easy for me to use it in my work.
Notes App: I use this app to note down my thoughts. Since i use my cellphone for noting my idea and thoughts, it's super convenient. No matter where i am, at home or outdoors, i still have it with myself all the time. Plus, when i have to create a post, i just have to copy paste my content into the template that i create.
Template Creator: As I have a page on Instagram where I post my contents, I use it for creating eye catchy templates. These apps are easy to use and very user friendly.
2 Video Editor & Maker: It has not been quite long since I started using it in delivering poetry. But I was quite a lot satisfied with the 2 videos that I created lately.
How long have you been writing?
It has now been roughly 9 years. Earlier I wasn't into poetry as much as I am now. This is because, now I've got a platform to share my thoughts. The interactions and reactions on my post motivates me to come up with more.
What are your goals as a writer?
As a writer, I want to expand my audience, genre of writing and thoughts for poetry. In doing this, Instagram has been a huge help. The audience that we get here, is very enthusiastic and motivating.
Any accomplishments you’d like to share?
My accomplishments haven't been a lot. But I've been published in 4 Anthologies (paperback), 1 E-book anthology, and have also won a weekly contest of @delhipoetryslam (published in their e-magazine), also in a few websites. I have also been featured by 4 pages on Instagram, where I desperately wanted to be featured. And of course @Train_River_Publishing is one of them.
What are you looking forward to?
In future, I would love to be familiar amongst people as a writer.
