Featured Poet: r.g.

r.g. is a published poet and was featured in A Poet’s Toolbox. We were delighted to share his insight and are excited to share more about his approach to the craft.

How long have you been writing?

I have been jotting down my thoughts for quite some time now. But I had started writing seriously since my depression got really worse and almost fatal. Its been about 2 years since then.

Any accomplishments you’d like to share?

I have successfully published a collection of some of my best works via Amazon. The book is titled “Of Love and Other Sins”. Its available worldwide in Amazon, in both kindle and paperback formats. It is dedicated to the one person I had truly fallen in love with, the one that got away.

What are you looking forward to?

Currently, I am looking forward to staying alive, given the dire state the world is in right now. My heart aches for all those in peril and despite our survival instincts kicking in, I believe it’s equally important to think about major goals right now. What I mean is, this is a good time to ponder upon what the ultimate goal of human life is.

What’s your favorite way to relax?

Zazen. Its an ancient meditation technique used by the Zen Buddhists throughout the world. It not only relaxes the body, but reenergises the mind as well.

Where can readers find your work?

My Instagram page is currently the only place on the internet that showcases some writings of mine.
